TARUNA GUPTA

HEART OF INDIA LIES IN THE VILLAGES!!

AMAN GUPTA

MOTHER NATURE: MAN WAS BORN!!

Love is strange

(VIKAS DEV -> 1/COS C)

My love is beautiful,
My love is strange,
I have watched my love,
dancing in the rain,

I stood alone there,
and i stood still,
the time was lapsing
I couldn't feel.

She was dancing like an angel
innocently in da dreamland,
Unaware of me who was watching her
keenly to carve her out of sand,

I watched and watched
without a blink;
It seemed that,
if I was having a drink;

Feeling myself
tossed to her breast;
With my arms ,
wrapped around her waist ;

We wavered with the
cold breeze in the moonlight,
danced like daffodils,
splendid was the sight;

We were together
till the dawn;
I donno then,
where she had gone..

I woke up in the morning
and realized it was a dream
I cant stop myself
and moved towards the stream.

In search of, which I know, I could never find;
but still my heart says, go for another time.
and still my heart says,
"may be ur search is searching u"
so go for another time...
as u hav done love and not a crime ?

now i realized that love is like a mirror
which never loses its ability and whose
ability increases when u try it to shatter.

it is true that evrything is fair in love and war;
but i will prefer war over love,

as one either lives or dies in war,
but one neither lives nor dies in love;

still love is mystery, romeo & juliet tells us the history......

CHAI BABA CHAI..... DO RUAPYE KI CHAI

(Aram Bhusal)

Tea!!
What does this beverage tell you? Well for me it is an escape from the very tasty lunch in NSC which makes sure that we repel each other like similar magnetic poles!!
But what is so special about a cup of tea which we get in the tea stalls of Allahabad? The tea that we get in glasses which are half dirty... Having those sour n sweet biscuits... or those cakes (I love the cakes)... or the bun-butter in which we get a full quarter of butter... yuummmmmmmyyyyyy
What is so special in these tea stalls that they seem to be an escape from all wordly sorrows?
Well for me a holiday in Naini means goin to the tea stalls in front of Naini with my frens n having tea and samosa... It is here that u can find the stem to latest rumour ,to the latest review, to the best comments ,to the discussion of the next week quiz... These tea stalls are the medinnah of creativity... For me i decided to create this blog in one of these tea stalls only, sitting idle with Devesh... Then we proposed the sections n now u can see the outcome...
Tea is my refuge from the tension of approaching mid-sem to the head-ache of programming... Tea is the balm wich can be applied to broken hearts and broken hopes... Tea is the excuse over which fights can be resolved.. Tea... Tea...
Now tea is Chai
Do rupaye ki chai
Ek cut chai...
Chai is what mom makes when dad returns home... Chai is wt we rely upon in all rail journeys n chai is the backbone of success... There is achai behind every successfull man (Which is backed by the chai bananewali!!)
;)
So all dukelas go for a chai n see what chai is all about!! :)

Dastaan revisted(the busy monday)

(Ankit Jain)

People say that I have a strong love line but with no affair. That seems to be true for me only .i.e. from my side only.

But in addition one more thing is happening that ‘that fellow’ whom I am trying to forget is repeatedly irritating me.

‘jaane phichle janam me kya paap kiye ki aaj mujhko ye sahana pad raha hai’.

On Sunday evening, I went to the lawyer (server room) to submit the application for divorce.

But he didn’t considered it instead started shouting at me as if the mistake was in me.

‘ki tune apni kabra khud khodi hai, ab mar ‘

He said maybe ,she might have got angry.

You must ask one of your friend to bring her back to have a happy ending.I told him that they, too, were like me.So he asked his most trusty and experienced guy to tell me how to make your wife happy. But this fellow deceived me. On Monday(25th),when another midsem approached, she was there in her earlier mood. I was wrong again I failed to read her mind at night when she was not with me. she just convinced me at night and cheated me not in the morning, but at the last moment. This time linux crashed when the system was open.

‘pata nahi mein har bar kisi na kisi ki bat mein akar use har bar kopche mein lene ki koshish kyun karta hoon’.

Lekin ab aap hi batiye ki how can I fill this grave? Why I was tied with her?

Who is that fellow who took my wife’s heart?

Dayan (chudeil)! ab thik to ho tab bataoonga ki mein kaun hoon.

But one more thing that I am not the only one who thinks that when his wife is going to leave her .On Sunday ,when I told that I am going to submit ‘my wife’ my friends too joined me. I was extremely happy that I was not alone… DUKELE SAVDHAN!!

Jab tak ending happy nahi hoti, tab tak woh ending nahi hoti… iska matlab DAASTAN abhi baaki hain mere dost………

LINES IN IIITA

(Varun Jain 72)
"And damn it...I am again in the midst of this crap ...one more bullshit line".Well the only faithful ties which we all have made after having come to IIIT-A are its trademark lines.Sleek and serpent like, they are omnipresent. Some of these patented line formations are zigzag whereas some are L shaped and on certain highly rare occasions may be straight(as they ought to be)Right after having come to our senses by the din and jostle of our chirkut neighbours we find ourselves in the midst of the line to the toilet. You all know the out of the world experience of smelling the perfume emanating from the faeces of our friends. And if some brave soul does withstand this turmoil then he 'll find himself fighting against all odds to make a vent in the bathroom queue. In case if he by God's grace manages to come out in time then he will have to make his way out through one more bullshit line to have his breakfast. The commando training in this really assidous and dexter art is provided under the able guidance of Shukla bhaiya(our bus driver). And some of our real experts accomplish this rare feat holding breakfast in one hand ,an bag in other.I bet IIIT-ians can provide much better training to our military in troop formations at the front. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The real test begins at NSC,where right from classes to toilets from library to the mess we do experience lines of all sorts. Our lecture halls are classical examples of last in first out principle. Not only they but also our mess does show the funda that makes all our ICP/DFS logic to fail(the guy who is inserted in between comes out first...gotta do research on it)However the creativity in these line formation vanishes when they culminate with official events(26 th Jan or 15 th August). In those testing times they out of nowwhere metamorphose into a linear structure. However some of our line experts do break this monotonocity of the humdrum of life/line.Lines in short have become an intricate and probably unseparable part of our life as IIIT-ians.Lest assured one day they will be made the mascot of our prestigious institute and probably we 'll get a place in the annals of history for helping in the advancement of these historical lines. Now c'mon guys/gals hurry up else you 'll miss one those lines....:-> :-> :-> :-> :-> :-> :-> :->....

“Meri dastaan”

(ANKIT JAIN )

The story started right from the first day when I was added to this institute.

Legally,I was allotted a system with no cpu it was very strange for me.(mujhe kya malum tha ki vo mere liye nahi bani hai).

Then after a fortnight or so reallotment was done . I was happy that bloody system has at last caught hold of me .’chalo us bevde se picha to chuta’.I got a new ‘mast’ system in working system. One day it too went into comma as if the system was not meant for me.

It was a good ‘jhatka’ for me just two days before midsem any how I managed to work on another but it was not the END it didn’t die but again back to my life as if she didn’t love but being a wife she was forced. This was around endsem system was awarded as momento to me. I decided to give divorce .But I was very ‘sidha –sada’ honest , innocent baccha so sent her to hospital(‘jhalwa’).This time ‘after endsem’ system came opposite to my expectation . Now it came to flirt me. But in the end of Jan she engraved its own grave I again managed to take it back to his 5 senses . But my effect last only an hour or so .Her crush was someone else.I ,too ,decided to get her back .I used to install linux on it almost every day and the next day it used to vanish . May be she was not satisfied with what I fed .Others, ‘my batchmates ’ too tried to satisfy her but they too in vain. So on 21st feb ,when 14 had gone (if this would have happened before I would have proposed a new one),I did what I decided before. So again I am back where I was, alon e in ‘talash ’of somebody. ‘Gumshuda’ are ab to iski aadat pad chuki hai ab to jeevan korakagaz lagta hai. Ek pyar kiya aur vo bhi ‘kopche’ me nahi le paya.

Those were the days...

(ARPITA AGGRAWAL)

They say write on that, which is close to your heart... that, which leaves an indelible mark... that, which you cherish forever...

"We had joy, we had fun,

We had seasons in the sun,

But the hills that we climbed

Were just seasons another time..."

Opening the treasure-chest of memories, I pick out some of my most cherished moments and realize that most of them have one thing in common – they have my school-friends in them – people who I love a lot, who form an integral part of my life, who play a major role in my evolution as a person. People without whom I would be at sea, to whom I run to at the hint of slightest trouble, with whom I share my joy and sorrow, without whom life wouldn't have been the same...

Lounging around for hours at 'Mint', being chucked out of 'Cafe Coffee Day' for making a racket, having to run away from a restaurant 'coz we broke a filled glass and ruined the tablecloth, being checked by the waiter for bringing the roof down even in the food-court, haunting the streets of Hazratganj, talking at full volume on 'censored' topics in 'Pizza Hut' and realizing after an hour, that we had people staring at us as if we had just escaped from the zoo... hooting and going berserk whenever a hunky actor appeared on screen at the theater, bunking classes at school to sit and chat, dancing on the tables in the Physics lab, dancing to the tunes of Jungle Jungle baat chali hai and kaat khaye bichchu in the sports field, throwing everybody in the sand pit, taking piggy-back rides on each other, ordering more and more food at 'Pizza Hut' 'coz this really cute-looking guy was serving us, finding 'olive shirt' and 'cream cargo pants', falling for this real cute IIM–Lucknow guy who was conducting a survey at the Mall, going to 'Mc D' and eating Mc Aloo Tikki and iced tea every time we met during vacation, 'coz after meeting up daily this was all that we could afford... Must say that 'those were the days...'

Going back to my room is a strange feeling - as if I am suspended in time... Everything is just like it was two years back... the picture of all my friends stands adorning my bedside. 'I (really) ride high when with (them)' as the photo frame says. The 'Winnie the Pooh' poster still stuck to my bathroom door assures me that '(they'll) be there for me' come what may. The 'Archies' carry bag, in which they gave me the gifts, still stowed away in my drawer, the teddy sitting where it always sat, reminds me of all those times, which are now a part of the past – a part of my life, which was undoubtedly the best...

Naini Rocks!!

(ARAM BHUSAL)

!!"NAINI"!!
This word is enough to remind any iiitian of freedom, joy, masti and everything that seems to be synonymous with fun.
Most of us in Naini hostel never thought we would have such a joly time in such a place!! For us Naini was like a dark night mare but with the passage of time we saw the truth... Naini had become a part of our existence... The Naini bridge told us of the vast body of knowledge on which we are travelling... By saying travel i remember to mention our trips from NSC to Naini... It would be a mixture of sleepy snorers and the noisy chatterbox.... We do still curse the travel time from Naini to NSC but it has also opened to us new oportunities to enjoy!! For us the trip to Naini is sometimes the most exciting part of the college day as it will have the naming ceremony of many guys and it is a place where we sit together n chat to infinity.... The radio in shukla's bus or the open windows at last the bus leaving NSC, give us some of the most peaceful and fun filled moments....
But alas... within 2 months we will be leaving Naini for the main campus...
So guys why not make the most of our time at Naini... Lets make the most of our stay to Naini...
Why not celebrate the spirit of Naini????
Lets bring back the zeal for masti n after the mid sem lets plan for something hot n happening in Naini...
2k7 rocks and so does Naini....

PRAYAAS - a step to light the lamp of knowledge...

(Sakshi Rastogi)

“I couldn’t study as my parents failed to afford it...”
In our country India, there are innumerable such kids who have not attended school for some or the other reason. They are unknown to that fun and enjoyment which is priceless for us, that sharing food which mom prepared for us, getting scolded together for a small prank, going to picnic together, exchanging views, hanging around with friends, attending birthday treats and what not. That heavenly enjoyment and that feeling of safe and secure present will be indescribable.
There are some who not even have a slightest idea of what it feels to be learning together and sharing that knowledge which they are their rightful owner being the citizens of the secular country.

If we spend some time from our lives to cater to their needs, of a person to light the lamp for them and show them the way to knowledge, it should be our pleasure. We should be proud of being associated to such a pure and useful organization that has been instrumental in bringing about the significant change in the perception of some of such unlucky kids towards knowledge. Kindling in them the desire to study, to do something meaningful in their lives is what it aims.
PRAYAAS, it’s the teamwork of some people amongst us who took the initiative to work for the benefit of such kids who need a proper guidance under which they can spread their wings and learn to make a flight in this busy world, where none is bothered for the losers!

With this promising note I wanted to introduce to my batch mates, an effort which we have to carry forward, yes it’s the organization I am talking about…the ultimate example of
“Selfless help.”

The students of IIITA have been working in this since past three years and have been successful to a large extent. This requires you to give your time to the kids who come willingly to study in the KV school just besides the boy’s hostel at Jhalwa. They just need your time and whole hearted devotion so that, at least they also compete with their rich counterparts and be successful in their attempts.

Giving an hour 5 pm to 6pm in a week is sufficient for them and nothing for us. The task is to be present with a desire to make a big difference in their lives…to show them the PATH.

ASK ANYONE

Ask your query regarding any topic...
It will be answered by our batchmates or experts!!
It can be about programming or any subject....
just leave ur questions as comments to this post

LIFE IS GOOD

(Tarini Sunil)

Life is the most beautiful gift that God has bestowed upon us though some of us do not acknowledge it.
Life gives us the opportunity to make friends, to love others and to be loved by others. It teaches us how to co-operate and adjust with others. It teaches us to believe in others, in ourselves as well as in abstract things like God. It tells us what emotions are, what feeling are. By helping others, being one with them in their sorrows we get one step closer to God.
But now we should climb the wall and look on the other side which is full of sorrows, grief, anguish and deaths. Where the children are using their parents as initial steps of their ladder of success. Seeing people kill each other, kill nature, using others for their own selfish motives I think even God would be regretting and saying “Why did I do this!”
So life can be good as well as bad depending on how you perceive it. So on which side of the wall are you?

Birthdays...on demand.

Friends,
Get ready to celebrate each and everyones birthday!!
So what are you all waiting for??
Just post a comment to this post giving your name and
your date of birth (DON'T worry....only the month and date).
Then you will soon get the Birthday List on this blog...
Hurry...the faster we get the inputs the sooner you get the birthday list.

Life...

(Tarini Sunil)
Life is good, life is bad,
It is the newest experience you ever had,
It gives you joys, it gives you sorrows,
Principle of ‘as you sow so shall you reap’ it follows,
It is our luck to be our human being,
But it is an honor to be called a good human being.
So a little of your co-operation you give,
To make the world a better place to live.

PEN SKETCHING!!

Transformations

(Tarini Sunil)

Initially my life in IIITA was like hell,

“Please stay there “every now and then my mom would tell,

I was like a little bird that had been thrown out of its cozy nest,

So that it could move ahead and clear its flying test,

I felt as if I was in a sanctuary trapped and chained,

Every moment seeing new birds around my heart pained,

But slowly I started feeling as is Yes! I am one amongst them ,

Not an alien who did not know where it had come,

And that I could also spread my wings and explore the world.

Dard-e-Dobre

U to mauke hote hai bahut dil aazmaane k,
par fir bhi us manzarf k liye betaabi hai.

par dedi surat jike liye ye ruki ye zindagani thi.

My LoV3!!

(Aram Bhusal)

As I look out to the rainy storm,
I can see it assuming my heart’s form.

The clouds are big, wild and dark,
I run to the open for the hark,

I want my heart to shout it out,
So the seedlings of hope may explode and sprout,

The hope that the messenger of my love,
Which I see as pure as dove,

May come and spread her arms to me,
From beneath the mountains, clouds and sea,

To take me to that peace and calm,
Come by me and be my balm!!

Just 4 U Sweetheart !! :)

How 2 Propose a gal!!

(Sumit Kumar Pathak)

Everything in world is alike
no one has an extra limb or head with a horn
A baby be it a boy or girl looks beautiful
Until he/she grows
then why do u look different
from others to me and then
why do i feel my heart to be beating hard
when i see u
why does my heart request time to
remain constant till i tell you the feelings
which i have
why do i feel like(saying to you)
your eyes are deep as ocean
your lips are petals of rose
your voice are drenched in nector
your posture like goddess in heaven
thats why
i appreciate you
i like you..

Ah!! My Love

(Mr. X)

I Love a girl

Every look of HER
is still present there,
Every charm of her
Remind U(my love) everywhere..

I do remember HER ELEGANT eyes
As deep as flowing river.
I do remember HER ENCHANTING voice
As Melodious as Winter weather..

I do remember how i spiffed
whenever I went round Ur home
To see U once
And Watch Ur Gloom..

I do remember that Ecstasy
That Mesmerised me on Ur look..
and also the Sorrow I got......
When came to konw(that)Ur not in my LIfe's Book.!!

I do remember that sight
That Drenched my Heart
I do remember that smile
U gave when we did Depart.!!!

Now it has been years
Since I met U
But Music of Ur presence
Is Immortal lik Graceful Hue..

Still Ur Memories are mine......
And at HEAVENS I m gonna CELEBRATE this VALENTINE....

dil ko huaa hai dard par ashk nahi gire.
mitadi hain saari nishaaniyaan,
par unki yaad nahi bhoole.
toote huye dil se kya fariyaad kare,
unke liye jo iss dil ki mohabbat ko n samajh sake.

shaan-ai-khudaa ki kya tarifh karon ,
fhalak se tujhe jo utara hai.
teri khobasurati ki kyaa tarifh karon,
sangemaramar se tujhe tarashaa hai.

pyaar ishq aur mohabbat labz nahi,
ye ehasaas hai jo chu k guzar jaate hain.
ehasaas zaoori is zindagii k liye,
jo jeene ke makasad chhod jaate hain.

kamal khilte hai har subah k baad,
chaand khiltaa hai har saanjh k baad,
khudaa ke karishme ko kya kahen,
teri yaad aati hai har saans k baad.

This post is for the hottest spot for lovers: THE NAINI CRICKET PITCH (used for cricket weekly and used 24x7 by lovers and dukelas).
Well there are other exceptional guys who love the wall and the others go to the tree behind the canteen...... well if i start counting the locations we will run out of space... This means that MOST OF THE BOYS ARE COMMITED TO SOMEONE OR OTHER..... This means that most of the boys are in gloomy mood as they are away from their love...
Well talking about the cricket pitch... It has been leveled by the footsteps of lovers who talk for hours on the phone.... We have a record of 4 hours on pitch (limited by motorala battery) continuous chat on the phone and a record of 6 hours from their room (Nokia battery).... So you know how hopeless lovers we are.... Well some boys have good guts and have tried the gals hostel (we are sorry to disclose this).... Well love is in the air and cricket pitch is always in love with the boys talking like gals on the phone.....
So i request the cricketers to respect the pathetic lovers and appreciate their contribution to publicize the pitch AND LEVEL IT....

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

FOR AKELAS

(Devesh Srivastava )

Myth Vs Reality

(Varun Jain 72)

As the mirror unveils

The truth that it reveals
Is a paradox so intricate
Seems like it has been fabricate
Betraying the notions
Free from the shackles of emotions
The domain of which remains infinite
Unfathomable though it is but aptly petite
The threads of siblings intermingled
Interwoven to make the fabric of life
Deceptive perception guides
B'coz what we assume reality has in fact a different light
The difference is so slight
But its impact is what is might
The reality of life is myth in which we reside
And we are in search of the truth that reality hides
And when the truth is realized
What we assumed myth turns out to be reality penalized
That is the beauty of life
The reality of the myth of life

/*the background of the poem:
When we seem our image in the mirror then the image that it reveals is true as well as false. The comparison of reality and myth of life is compared here with the actual person and the image which the mirror unveils. Our image is free from all the shackles .It can take any shape any form...It is infinite and unfathomable(gotta c urself in barbers'shop where the mirror reveals u layer after layer...reflection after reflection).Myth and reality are here compared as siblings b'coz they accompany each other in every aspect of life. The deceptive perception here is termed as the decisions of life that we make which though at the instant seem to be right but in the end turn out to be a myth. This is the beauty of life...Here it means that the image that the man was visualizing is his trueself and he himself is in fact a myth...*/

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

(Taruna Gupta)

I wish you were my Valentine
Though I may not be yours,
And I may, in my ignorance,
Be speaking to closed doors.

I have no inkling of your heart,
No hint what you might say;
But when I think of you the sun
Will just not go away.

There is in you a loveliness
That makes my darkness shine,
And so I'll wait, if wait I must,
To be your Valentine.

With the valentine's day coming up....there is a change in the atmosphere....a change in the mood....
All the lovebirds have already started planning for the BIG day...and all those who are single are either gearing themselves up for getting a valentine...or else sitting in their rooms and cribbing (like me :( )...
But whatever maybe the case...this is one day which is awaited more than any festival or any other day...(except for one's birthday..at least that is the case with me)... The sale of Archies and local “phoolwalas” shoot up like a rocket... And with the latest trend in the youth of celebrating the whole previous week as Valentine's week and calling the days by names like “Kiss Day”, “Chocolate Day”, “Teddy Day” etc..has actually made people to use this to their advantage....
But one very obvious question that arises is that “Should this day be celebrated as zealously as it is and given a status which is equivalent to all our major festivals ???”
The answer varies from person to person and the reasons are also too diverse... Orthodox Indians may find it hard to accept it as it is supposed to have been taken from western culture... The parents whose sons spend their hard earned money on the gifts and flowers for their girlfriends have always been in dilemma..... Also seeing their children wasting their time with their so called “love” is a pain for them.....(Poor them....... :D )
But for all those who are actually in love (or rather they think they are ;) )...this day brings out all their feelings, emotions and sentiments in the true manner...........
And for me.....I don't think i will ever believe in true love......but then.......I always get so jealous of those couples hanging around in our campus....and i start thinking that it would have been better if I also had someone with whom I could celebrate this day.....!!!!!! :->

Everyone admits that love is wonderful and necessary, yet no one agrees on just what it is...........!!!

GALS OF B2k7

(Sakshi Rastogi)

GALS OF B2k7

We are handful of 17 girls in this big bunch of 190, not even 10%!

As one has rightly pointed out, “Quality matters and not quantity…” We all prove this to a great extent. Like CHERRIES on the pudding of B2k7, we stand apart….thanks to God for this…making us special in some ways at least.

Interaction with guys has always been an “uphill task” for some

though some find it as the most ‘easiest job’ done!

There are singers, dancers, writers and speakers,

though some are really great thinkers…!

Lets meet each individually…

Hold your breath and mind your words coz… there are the “GALS OF B2k7

Without any biasing we’ll start roll no. wise.

TARINI SUNIL: “I’ll fail” is what she says after exam and then to her surprise and everyone else’s expectations comes out with “over flying” colours… “Topper of B2k7”

Forever on phone with her mother, she is proud to be her daughter. ‘Lucknow ki tahzeeb’ and ‘hard work’ are the two words that define her.

TARUNA GUPTA: The liveliest girl of our batch, she has got a battery in her that does not need charging. Bold, smart and a great dancer, she also excels in sketching. Thinking before speaking is 'out of fashion' for her, her style is “think after you speak”. “Mobile hi sacha dost” for her...

SRUSHTI DHOPE: “Shakira…Shakira…”, “Bol naa halke-halke”, “My dil goes…” and what not! You name it and she’ll sing it. The golden voice of B2k7, she also known for her ‘hat-ke’ attitude.

AKSHERA RAI: ‘The Qatar girl’, as she was known before…has taken up the Indian counterparts really well. Known for her looks and dance, she is famous in the hostel for the line, “Kuch khane ko hai kya??”

Books and Akshera is a rare combination which exists only on the eve of exams!

AKANSHAA KHARE: Known for being a ‘female PMP member’ not only in B2k7 but also in the entire IIITA, she is also a promising dancer.

Always hooked up in books, she has a nice aesthetic sense too….have a look at her room!

ARPITA AGARWAL: A very cute yet talkative girl, she finds a special space in every room in the hostel… An English movie and novel lover, she likes hanging around with her friends.

TANVI SAHNI: ‘Engaged in gossip every minute, Tanvi is this spirit’….

Known for her stylish dresses and accessories, she is the “JUGAADU” of our batch. Gets things done somehow or the other. Mature for her age, offers advice to one and all.

POOJA JHA: The tallest amongst the girls and a great programmer, she has a nag for orkutting and dance. Studies are perfect and she enlists herself in the topper’s category.

Fun and Masti defines her as a person.

BHAVANA CHAURASIA: Forever engaged in electronics project, she is also known for her ‘bathroom singing’ abilities.

Never hesitant to ask for help and always strives to do something new.

SHRADDHA GUPTA: Either sleeping or studying… She seldom can be seen out of her room. An extremely intelligent person, she is the master in electronics principle.

DIVYA MITRA: Always ready to lend a helping hand, she possesses an admirable peace of mind which never makes her blow her temper.

Polite and cute, she is a great ‘dramebaaz’…I mean a nice actress.

SHALINI JOSHI: ‘Made in Nepal’ yet has a true Indian heart… Forever wearing pink, she is a great singer and poet. Very simple in her attire yet attractive in looks. She is known for her ‘continuously speaking’ habit.

NIHARIKA BHARADWAJ: The thinnest and tall girl from Abu Dhabi, she is the most fun loving person. She blurts out all in her head to anyone and does not fear the consequences at all!

KANCHAN PATIYAL: The ‘star-model’ of our batch, she is known as ‘chinki’. A hockey player, she is proud to be a sportsperson. Simple in her words yet effective in conveying her thoughts.

KANCHARANA HARINI: The only ‘South-Indian’, yet she adjusts well to Hindi speaking people. She has got the ‘Rapunzel’ hair and is proud to be its owner.

SHAILLEY RAJ: A great writer and a dancer too. She is straight forward when she speaks and otherwise stays shut. She is the one known for her beautiful long hair.

Lastly, myself, SAKSHI RASTOGI:

This is what some of them had to say for me...

TARUNA: "The gal with brilliant and creative mind.... her horse like laugh is famous with all of us...!! Moreover she is a sincere lit club member... (this blog proves the fact)"

ARPITA: Having the world famous devillish 'hassin' which echoes in the entire
girls' hostel, sakshi is always busy with something or the other -be it
studying, working for the literary club, writing articles, composing
poems, programming, dancing...truly a 'jill' of all trades.

TARINI: She is one of the most lively girls of the batch bringing a smile on of our faces by her trademark ‘hasin’ and always striving towards improving herself and trying to be a better person each second and lastly I know her to be a person who is scared of no one. These words do not appear in her dictionary. Her dictionary is just full of smiles and a hearty laugh.

POOJA:She is self explainable simple and straight forward person who always has the spirit to do all the things....sum of course out of her capabilities (hey just joking)....She is very helping ,a great friend and the only person (i can bet on it ) in whole IIITA to laugh so whole heartedly...

The Beauty!!

FRIENDS

(By Vinay Polisetti)
Friends in high school are forever young.
Unchanged, they're where you always will belong.
The crowd is never gone, the pleasure stays,
The music of the moment always plays,
The time remains a field of wistful grace
To which you may return from anyplace.
Of course, you may still know them later on
When you are someone else and years have run;
And you may love them dearly, and they you,
But time must make their friendship something new.
Meanwhile, flourishing within your heart
There is a whole, of which you were a part:
A group of friends, one in love and pain,
In whom your longing comes alive again.

The 1 n only!!

...…and we call it gender equality!!!!

On the eve of ma ‘saraswati puja’, it’s not me being a feminist or a writer, its about strongly feelings i have about the degrading and junk status of morality in todays world…

It’s about hiding the vast darkness…by calling it a MODERN FACE OF INDIAN WOMEN…..!

Projecting women in half naked clothes and attracting viewers towards their product is the up coming definition of advertisements…!

Be it advertisements of biscuits or sodas or soft drinks or soaps, all can’t be completed without showcasing the women in scanty clothes...

The more is ‘this thing’ the more is the sale...

A model showing her cleavage on the cover page, an indecent condom ad, an inner wear ad certainly blooms the sale but have we ever thought about its long term side-effects?

The surveys, the reports, the journals, pie diagrams on the national dailies show the recent hikes in the number of rapes, eve teasing (excluding those that go unreported…) is an indirect consequence of the same.

Projecting the women as mere objects, disrespecting and exploiting them in the name of gender equality simply showcase the degrading morality (don't they…!

Do we call this an upcoming face of Indian women????

Are we the same proud Indians joining our hands for worshipping maa durga and sarasvati!!!!

At last I certainly would like to conclude by questioning myself - being a budding woman do I suffocate?

??

Starting of journey

(By Aram Bhusal)
Hi there. Well i am Aram Bhusal. I am persuing B.Tech-IT from IIIT Allahabad, which is one of the elite institutes of India. Me and my friends are here to show many people what life is all about.

"DEATH IS MORE UNIVERSAL THAN LIFE
COZ EVERYONE DIES BUT NOT EVERYONE LIVES"

You must be thinking engineers and specially the IT guys must be some geeks who do not care about life and spend their whole time mugging books or writing algorithm (what is that? ).
Well let me tell you that if u want to know the real meaning of enjoyment u hv to ask us (Did i mention bhasad). Well the good thing sbout our college is that, most of the guys are from various parts of the country. Means we have UNITY IN DIVERSITY in true sense.
Enough of boring stuff... Now lets see what i have to share with you.
When i arrived in the institute i was left speechless by the beauty of the main campus. It was something which i couldn't imagine. I had thought that good campuses are a thing in brochures only coz whenever i had come to any new campus, it could not live up to what was written in the brochure. I found the administration awesome. Then there came a special surprise package for us. The first year guys were not to be in the main campus and had a hostel some 20 km away in NAINI and would be taught by special faculty in NSC campus. I began imagining of what kind of hostel it would be (The campus had made me optimistic about the hostel). Well we boarded the bus and the journey came out to be never-ending. I was waiting for the bus to stop somewhere within 20minutes but we were in bus for about 40 minutes, when we reached the place. NAINI hostel came as a shock to me. I was a kid who had been to hostel before but this kind of hostel was something unexpected. I found it horribly bad ( THE SAME HOSTEL THAT I LOVE TODAY).There were no shops nearby (i didn't find any then... now i know where to get the stuff from). It was a strange feeling for me. Now my expectations of the NSC campus started fading to the dark. That day i met my room mate Shishir. A guy who was full of life. I even today love his smile which conveys joy among many hidden pains. The next day in collge came as a new surprise as i found it was located in Allahabad University campus but was very nice. It had good lecture theatres and superb computer labs. Over all it was a like a gem in Allahabad. Then came the food which again was awesome (unfortunately the quality of the food later degraded and today its again better than the first day). Today i am extremely happy that i am here. At NSC we are taught by the best professors and at hostel we teach each other how life rocks. Every rain is followed by a mud bath... Every birthday comes with the bumps... Every festival comes with full celebration, be it north Indian or south-Indian.... In short i think i am lucky to be here and amid such an energetic and cheerful batch..
AND AS WE ALWAYS SAY... 2K7 ROCKS...

जीत

( devesh srivastava )

no longer humans!!!!!

(By Shalini Joshi)

Man has scaled great heights …

But by winning nuclear fights..!!

We have carved a new world ….

Indeed with weapons and powers …..

But to think for humanity…

We have not even a single hour!!!!

for sure we are snatching the lives from trees ..

And destroying the charm of nature….

And playing with the lives of creatures…!!

Our deeds are full of cruel thoughts…

Heavy destructions and deaths of all sorts!!!!!

Perhaps there is no love left in any heart…

Thought of serving for poors for humanity plays no part!!!!

Joy and care has vanishes high in clouds…

And we are filled with greeds and prouds!!!

Running in the race to conquer the whole world…we have traveled too far!!!!

Just to win a massive war……

Which will picturize the destruction and generation of deformed babies…..

Weeping for their pathetic life….life

and we are no longer humans it will symbolize!!!!!
